Hey,

Hope you are all well and welcome back to my blog! If you read my last pregnancy blog you will know that for the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy I suffered with a severe form of Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) which meant I was in and out of hospital and lost a stone in a week.

I was a mess. Family and friends were concerned if I would be able to continue with the pregnancy due to how weak I was. Imagine not being able to keep water or food down for 16 weeks!

Just when the sickness started to settle I got in touch with Sea-Band as I had heard that the bands were a natural remedy to ‘morning sickness’ although what I was suffering with was worse than ‘normal’ morning sickness, I was desperate to just try anything.

The company has personal experience of HG and were able to relate to how unsettling the experience can be and offered me the opportunity to review their products.

The Sea-Bands are knitted elasticated wrist bands, which operate by applying pressure on the Nei Kuan acupressure point on each wrist by means of a plastic stud.

After being pumped with anti-sickness medication for 16 weeks it was nice to try a natural remedy that didn’t have any of the nasty side effects.

Although I was over the worst of my HG when I was gifted with the bands, I was still being sick every morning when brushing my teeth and feeling nauseas throughout the day. The Sea- Bands definitely helped the nausea feeling but I am not sure how effective they would have been in the worst stages of HG as I was vomiting more that 20 times a day.

I would recommend the Sea-Bands to any woman who is struggling with nausea and ‘normal’ morning sickness; and would love to hear from people who have HG and have given them a go to hear how effective they were for them.

I currently have four Sea-Bands to give away; if you would like to be in with a chance of winning one please keep an eye on my Instagram and write a comment below as to why you should win one!

Good luck x
