Brand NEW plant-based ribs, duck and chicken products launched in Sainsbury’s and Waitrose on the 5th January 2021.

Squeaky Bean’s four new products are:

Kickin’ Katsu Curry 300g
Sticky Chinese Style ‘Ribs’ 300mg
Crispy Duck Style Pieces with Hoisin Sauce & Pancakes
Garlic and Herb Chicken Style Pieces 160g

What is great about the Kickin’ Katsu Curry and Sticky Chinese Style ‘Ribs’ is that they are ready to cook, so all that needs to be done by you, is to be fried before adding the sauce.

Below is my simple recipe using Squeaky Bean’s Kickin’ Katsu Curry:

Ingredients

Kickin’ Katsu Curry 300g
All Purpose Seasoning
Black Pepper
Organic Plain Flour
Plant Based Milk ( I used Almond)
Panko Crumbs
Olive Oil

Method

Place flour, milk and panko crumbs into separate shallow dishes

Add tbsp of all purpose seasoning to flour and a sprinkle of black pepper

Coat Kickin’ Katsu Curry pieces into the flour shaking off any excess

Dip them into the almond milk and then press into panko crumbs until well coated on both sides

Heat olive oil in frying pan over medium-high heat

Place Kickin’ Katsu Curry pieces in the hot oil, and cook 3 or 4 minutes per side. Or until golden brown
